Board of Directors
The Montrose Botanical Society is an organization established to provide, through the development of the Montrose Botanic Gardens, horticultural education and leadership for the Uncompahgre Valley.
Unless otherwise posted, monthly Board Meetings in 2026 will be held on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 2:00 pm in Room 350 at the Old County Courthouse (320 S 1st Street, Montrose).
If you wish to attend a meeting, please send us a message through our Contact page a few days in advance, in case the date or location has changed, and to receive information on how to find the meeting room and the agenda.
Our Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at the First Presbyterian Church (1840 E. Niagara Road in Montrose). Nominations are open for the following officer positions:

VICE PRESIDENT: Incumbent Anne Britton

TREASURER: Incumbent Peggy Justis
Both positions will be elected to two-year terms beginning January 1, 2027. Details on the duties for these positions are outlined in our Bylaws.
Nominations must be received by October 1 at 5:00 pm. Officer candidates must be members of Montrose Botanical Society. Please feel free to send a message or questions to the MBS board through our Contact page.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Montrose Botanical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that provides horticultural education and leadership for residents of the Uncompahgre region through the development of the botanical gardens for demonstration, education, and leisure.
