Volunteer Opportunities
The Montrose Botanic Gardens are administered and maintained solely by volunteers.
This gift to our community is the result of the tireless efforts of many hands doing a variety of jobs. Whether you are interested in a one-time event or project, or a recurring commitment, we welcome your involvement, our volunteers are our greatest asset!
As a volunteer you'll gain knowledge about the gardens, learn techniques on gardening in the high desert, make new friends, enjoy the outdoors, and perhaps even get your hands dirty!

Volunteer Opportunities
WEED WARRIORS
Our Weed Warriors meet every Wednesday morning, April through October.
Start time is 9:00 am in the coolness of spring and fall, 8:00 am in the heat of summer.
We work on tasks such as weeding, dead-heading, planting, fertilizing and general maintenance of the Gardens.
SPECIAL EVENTS

Join the planning team for one of our signature events -- the Garden of Lights (December), Scarecrow Festival (October) or Home Garden Tour (June).

If you're looking for a shorter term project, sign up for any of the volunteer slots on the day of those events.

Help out with our annual picnic (August) or holiday party (December).
OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
